A licence to operate a captive marine mammal facility certifies that the operators of a captive marine mammal facility have been deemed adequate to hold live specimens of marine mammals in The Bahamas.
- Possession of a facility that meets the requirements detailed in the Marine Mammal (Facilities) Regulations.
- Ability to demonstrate possession of the resources (financial and manpower), to operate the facility in accordance with the Marine Mammal Regulations.
- Complete the relevant application form.
- Submit completed application form, along with the required supporting documents, to the Department of Marine Resources.
- Upon approval of the application, the applicant will be requested to pay the required fee.
- Permit will then be issued to the applicant.
