PMH Revised Patient Visitation Guidelines

The Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) wishes to advise the general public that while some restrictions on the hospital’s visitation policy remain, effective Monday, March 14th, 2022, patient visitation has been expanded.

 

Patient visitation on PMH General Wards is limited to patients aged sixty (60) years and older. Visiting hours are between 6pm and 8pm. Only two (2) visitors are permitted for each patient, one of whom must be the patient’s legal next of kin. During visitation only one  (1)  visitor  is  permitted  at  bedside  for  a  duration  of  fifteen  Minutes.  All  COVID-19 protocols must be adhered to.

 

Limited visitors list for ICU and NICU will continue; Pediatrics (up to 18 years old) visitations will be limited to mother and father only, with one visitor at a time for a duration of no longer than fifteen (15) minutes.

 

PMH Private Services only, visitation is permitted for all ages. Visiting hours are between 6pm and 8pm. Only two (2) visitors are permitted at a time for a duration of fifteen (15) minutes. All COVID-19 protocols must be adhered to.

 

The PMH Emergency Department, as an Acute Care area, continues to restrict visitation.

 

All visitors must enter and leave via the hospital’s main entrance at the Critical Care Block.

 

The public is asked to comply with the hospital’s policies regarding patient visitation to help ensure the safety of patients and staff. PMH management will make further announcements as the phased return of patient visitation continues and asks for continued patience at this time.
