Permits are issued to facilitate the duty free importation of vessels and fishing gear to be used within the bone fishing sector.
- Applicants must be certified or registered bone fishing guides.
- Businesses must be engaged in the bone fishing sector ( Bone Fish Lodges).
- Complete the relevant application form.
- Submit completed application form along with the required supporting documents to the Department of Marine Resources.
- The applicant will then be issued with the Certificate of Registration Card or 10% Duty Waiver Form, which should be presented to The Bahamas Customs at the time of clearance of the goods
